To transform our culture by creating a world where science and technology are celebrated and where young people dream of becoming science and technology leaders.
-Dean Kamen, Founder, FIRST
FIRST is the leading STEM program for students ages 6-18 and has support from over 200 of the Fortune 500. Our Corporate Sponsors come from industries of all shapes and sizes. Becoming a sponsor is a great way to give back to the community and inspire students to become future interns and employees. Our sponsors' names will be prominently displayed both on our website and at the event. This regional cannot be run without generous donations from sponsors who make sure that we can keep inspiring the next generation of STEM leaders and professionals. Interested companies can contact us using this form.
Volunteers make up 99% of the FIRST workforce and are the key to making these events run smoothly. At the San Francisco Regional from March 16-19, 2017, there will be positions available for adults with both technical and non-technical expertise. If you are interrested, contact us using this form.
FIRST Robotics teams are assisted by adult coaches and mentors who teach students them not only engineering but also life skills. Technical mentors can help with writing code (Java, C++, or LabVIEW), wiring electrical systems, assisting with design, and teaching the safe and proper way to use tools. Non-technical mentors can help with managing projects, developing and implementing a marketing and business plan, organizing fundraising efforts, and more. If you are interested in mentoring an existing team, contact us with this form. If you would like to start a new team, visit this page on the official FIRST website.
